What else do i need to know

Once you’re signed up to a class, what do you need to know to prepare for your first session?

Once you’re signed up to a class, here’s what you need to know before your first session.

You’ll need to wear comfortable clothing and sensible footwear suitable for dancing. Trainers or plimsolls are absolutely fine to begin with – we simply recommend shoes that fit securely and allow you to move comfortably. Avoid sandals, heels or flip-flops as they can slip off or restrict movement during the routines.

There’s no need to purchase specialist footwear at the beginner stage. If you find yourself enjoying the class and want advice on dance shoes later on, our team will happily guide you.

Wear something that allows you to move freely, such as sportswear or casual, loose-fitting clothing. Feel free to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your class.

Line Dancing at RISE is all about enjoyment, community and feeling good through movement. Come as you are, and we’ll take care of the rest.
