How Our 4‑Week Classes Work at RISE Dance

How Our 4‑Week Classes Work at RISE Dance

Many of our classes at RISE Dance run in 4‑week blocks. This structure helps children, teens, and beginners learn in a consistent, supportive, and enjoyable way.

This guide explains how our 4‑week classes work, when new dancers can start, and what happens if a class is missed.

Which classes run in 4‑week blocks?

Our 4‑weekly classes include:

  • All Children’s classes
  • All Teen classes
  • Partner Ballroom and Latin classes
  • All Beginner Partner Ballroom and Latin courses

These classes are booked as a complete 4‑week block, rather than individual sessions.

Why we use 4‑week blocks

Running classes in 4‑week blocks allows:

  • Consistent learning and steady progress
  • Children and beginners to start together
  • Clear lesson planning and development
  • A supportive group environment to build confidence

This structure works particularly well for children, teens, and those new to dance.

Free trial classes for Children and Teens

For Children’s and Teen classes, we offer a free trial class.

After the free trial:

  • Children and teens can pay weekly to continue attending
  • This runs until the start of the next 4‑week block
  • Once the new block begins, classes then move onto the standard 4‑week block booking

This approach allows children and teens to try the class, settle in, and then join the block at the most appropriate time.

Beginner Partner Ballroom & Latin courses

All Beginner Partner Ballroom and Latin courses start at the beginning of a new 4‑week block. This ensures:

  • Beginners start together
  • Classes progress at a comfortable pace
  • No previous experience is required

4 weeks for the price of 3

To help new dancers get started, Beginner Partner Ballroom & Latin courses are offered as 4 weeks for the price of 3, meaning your first class is free.

This gives beginners the opportunity to try their first session without extra pressure while still benefiting from a structured course.

What happens if a class is missed?

Children’s and Teen classes

If your child cannot attend a class, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance.

Where sufficient notice is given, we may be able to offer a class swap into another suitable class.
Class swaps do not need to be used in the same week or month as the missed class.

Partner and Adult classes

If you cannot attend a class that has been booked as part of a 4‑week block, please let us know at least 48 hours in advance.

Where sufficient notice is given, we may be able to offer a class swap. In some circumstances, and in line with our Terms and Conditions, credit may be offered towards a private lesson.

In the event of an emergency, we may choose to be flexible with notice requirements.

If RISE Dance needs to cancel a class, an alternative will be offered. If this is not possible, a refund for the cancelled class will be provided.

If you are considering joining one of our classes, we hope this guide helps you understand how our 4‑week blocks work and when the best time to start is.

If you are unsure which class is right for you or your child, or would like to book a trial class, our team will be happy to help. We look forward to welcoming you to RISE Dance and supporting you or your child on your dancing journey.
