Our children’s dance classes offer outstanding tuition in a fun, friendly and safe environment!

If students wish they can choose to compete with the RISE Dancesport Team at competitive events across the country, and/or take exams with the UKA examination board.

We also offer a number of exciting opportunities for students to perform in charity shows and local productions.

Learning to dance can build a child's confidence, social skills and overall fitness... all while making a ton of new friends!

Children's Ballroom & Latin

Aimed at Children 6+ our Beginners Class is for all those budding Strictly Stars!  We also have a Junior section for older Children 11+
Our fun classes are based around 9 Ballroom & Latin Dances (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive and Paso Doble) and follow the UKA syllabus.
Children will learn the principles and foundations of all these dances in a fun and safe environment (...with a glitter ball or two for extra sparkle! )
Our class students have the opportunity to gain their Medals in this style and even take part in regional and national competitions under the guidance and support of our professional and experienced teachers.

Commercial Ballroom & Latin

This is a brand new class at RISE. A new modern style of Ballroom and Latin that we are really excited to be offering.
Commercial Ballroom & Latin is a solo style class and is a fusion of Ballroom & Latin with other solo dance styles including Commercial Dance and Street.
This style has a strong focus on performance and is performed to popular music that children absolutely love.
Our studio is the perfect safe space for children to learn, offering the best equipped environment for dance classes. From mirrors, to glitterballs, to performance colour changing stage lighting, our environment inspires children to be their best!!
This style also offers children the chance to take part in competitions with the fantastic All Nations Dance. We can’t wait to take part in these competitions as soon as they re-start.

Little Steps

Little Steps is a fun and lively class for children aged 3-5 years.
Our focus in this class is to introduce children to dance at an early age! Encouraging them through their favourite music we enable them to practice rhythm, co-ordination, movement and step patterns but most of all it’s lots of fun!
Rather than focusing on one style of dance we allow them to experience lots of different of styles. A few of these include Cha Cha, Street Dance, Quickstep, Commercial, Jive and the favourite (teachers included) Teddy Tango!
Not only this but our studio environment is perfect to encourage these little movers to shine. With colour changing lights and glitter balls it’s the perfect space for them to enjoy learning to move to music.
Little Steps is led by our qualified teacher Nicola. Her passion for teaching children alongside being the biggest Disney fan we know, means these classes are one of the most popular in our timetable!

Street Dance

One of our most popular classes!

This high energy, fun class teaches our dancers the fundamentals of Street Dance with routines choreographed to current popular music they can’t help but get moving to.
As well as teaching a wide range of movement and co-ordination in this genre our classes incorporate a variety of Street Dance styles such as Locking, Popping and Whacking.
Our spacious studios have everything Children & Teens need to bring our their best from mirrors to light effects that really help enhance their class experience!
Classes are spilt into two age ranges start at age 6-11 and 12+ for our older students.
Our classes lead on to opportunities to perform, compete and take examinations in this style.
