Child Protection and Safeguarding

All teachers responsible for children’s classes and private lessons are fully qualified in the required subject to do so.

All teachers responsible for children whilst on our premises have an Enhanced DBS check and all members of staff (including office staff) have a Standard DBS check.

You are responsible for your child at all times on the premises until they are collected by the teacher and after they are returned to you. This also applies should leave your child unattended at our studio.

• Please provide RISE Dance with all the people authorised to collect your child from classes and lessons they are enrolled in. Last minute changes to a child's collection must be received by RISE Dance in writing.

Some parents are happy for their older children to walk home, be met in the car park or at another location in the nearby area. We must be informed of this in writing, prior to the class. If you are happy for your child to leave the studio independently please confirm this in writing.

Photography & Videography
Occasionally RISE Dance may be taking photos and/or film footage during classes or events. These images may be used in the following ways:

The group's printed publicity

The group's online publicity (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Website)
They will be stored securely and will not be kept for longer than they are needed for the purposes listed above.
If you would prefer for you or your child not to be photographed, please contact us.
If you would like to see your images, or would like us to delete them, please contact us.

If you wish to take photos of your child whilst they are in our studio please adhere to the following:

If your child is participating in a group class or lesson please ensure no other children are in the photo.

Any photos taken must not disturb the class or lesson taking place.

If sharing any photos you take on social media, again it is imperative that no other children are included in the photo.
